Mickey Goldmill retired from boxing in 1947 with an impressive record of 72-1. He later opened his own boxing gym in Philadelphia, PA. That's right, a gym, not a goddamn soup kitchen. There, he trained "The Italian Stallion" Rocky Balboa for his high profile fights against Apollo Creed and Clubber Lang.
